Natural Gas Distribution Infrastructure
We are committed to championing Nigeria’s energy transition to cleaner fuels by leveraging on its abundant Natural Gas low-carbon resources. We ensure that Natural Gas resources are responsibly and efficiently utilized from the upstream to the downstream of the value chain. We execute projects targeted at deepening domestic Natural Gas consumption and utilization in Nigeria and across Africa.
Optimera Energy is a consortium made up of Falcon Corporation Limited, FHN Gas Limited, and ND Western Midstream Limited (the “Consortium”).
The Consortium has been formed in 2022 to play major part in Nigeria’s energy transition with particular focus by developing and executing gas distribution.
Falcon Corporation Limited is a well-established midstream energy company that has built and operated Natural Gas distribution infrastructure for supply to end-users in the Southwest region of Nigeria since 1994.
FHN Gas Limited and ND Western Midstream Limited are affiliates of upstream companies with combined gas reserves of over 4tcf, and which are currently producing Natural Gas and supplying to the Nigerian domestic gas market.

“The global energy landscape has been undergoing rapid changes in its mix owing to the push for transition to cleaner energy. In Nigeria, and other developing nations, energy transition must meet the needs of the population that still lack access to affordable energy (U.N. Sustainable Development Goal #7).
The Optimera Energy Consortium has been set up to take on this challenge in Nigeria and close the energy gap by developing and executing energy projects utilizing low-carbon resources such as Natural Gas. As environmental stewards, we are strongly committed to strict adherence to our Environment, Social and Governance policies. Maintaining the highest standards of Health, Safety and Quality in all our operations is a requirement for all our employees, vendors and partners.
Our near-term focus is on energy infrastructure development which is one of the key drivers for achieving Nigeria’s energy security. Having a dedicated Natural Gas supply infrastructure network across the nation for strategic end-user sectors adds tremendous value to economic development during this era of energy transition and will increase the nation’s attractiveness to future investors.
Execution of our Consortium’s projects will be a big step towards actualizing the objectives of the ‘Decade of Gas’ initiative of which gas-based industrial growth is a major part.
The Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) provides the necessary regulatory environment for projects such as these to succeed in Nigeria. We look forward to working collaboratively with investors, fellow energy companies, Nigerian Midstream & Downstream Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), the Nigerian Content Development & Monitoring Board (NCDMB) and other industry stakeholders in the development and operational phases of our projects.
Our dedicated Project Teams will work diligently with a strict adherence to the highest standards of quality, safety, operational excellence and regulatory compliance to deliver all projects on time and on budget as we have done consistently within our respective portfolios over the years.
